I cannot wait for Kate Santo to return from Orlando with new ideas and encouragement. My personal experiences with relocating couples is a truly wonderful and satisfying one.... connecting with a buyer out of Japan moving to the Northern Suburbs, coming into town for Friday Saturday and Sunday only for the husband to have to leave on Monday, with the intend to have bought a home during those days.... and
yes we did so, we viewed a dozen homes the first day, reviewed a few of them and added a few new ones the next day, then we sat down in the car and wrote three offers on three different properties, with a priority of 1 2 and 3, presenting the first offer
and negotiating in the car on the way back to their hotel and yes success is wonderful, the contract came together before the husband had to return to Japan ..... Just being ready and willing to expand the horizon of the relocating clients, to move into different areas or suburbs to find them what they are looking for and what they can afford makes the job so much more enjoyable....

So Kate bring back lots and lots of relo connections and relo clients!!!

I have known Geri for a long long time now, over 12 years and I can attest to her excitement and strong commitment to the real estate business. She is true supporter not only for each individual Realtor in her office but to the profession itself.

Her commitment and conviction so similar to my own that the client, whether buyer or seller or investor always should come first, i.e their interests and their needs and she is a constant reminder that we all need to be true to that particular goal in everything we do.

She is the BEST and we just know the new Glenview office will be a success story under her guidance.
Good Luck to you Geri!

The Sauganash neighborhood is truly a very special area and many of my buyer clients looking and considering the N and NW suburbs, close to the city, are always throwing Sauganash into the mix. They like the neighborhood feeling and the variety of different home styles so very much.
Sauganash (c. 1780 – September 28, 1841), a.k.a. Chief Sauganash or Billy Caldwell, was a Potawatomi leader, born of a Mohawk mother. His father was William Caldwell, an Irish immigrant and British soldier. Sauganash fought in the War of 1812 as a captain of Indian forces aligned with the British.

He settled near Chicago in about 1820. As part of an 1830 treaty he was given a land tract of about 1,600 acres north of Chicago, where he lived. Sauganash later was made a Justice of the Peace. Sauganash was a local celebrity frequently seen at hotels and restaurants, especially a hotel owned by his half brother. Sauganash eventually sold the land and moved to Iowa. Most of the Sauganash land eventually was annexed by the city of Chicago in 1889. In the Potawatomi language, the name "Sauganash" is said to mean "Englishman."
The Sauganash neighborhood is located on the northwest side of Chicago and is bordered by Devon (N), Bryn Mawr (S), and Cicero (W). The Eastern boundary was an unused railroad spur. Recently, the City of Chicago converted the railroad spur into a bicycle trail.
Anyone looking to explore available homes in the Sauganash neighborhood feel free to give me a call or
e-mail me anytime.

Sometimes it is difficult to imagine that inside some of these homes that are 100+ years old, there lies such a beautiful, luxurious living area.

Great article for pointing out the effects of global investment on the real estate market. The same can be said in any major city where the property values are high, they will always attract foreign investment.
